DOG-GONE MARIJUANA - A PUPPY TREAT ADVENTURE
Dog Gone Doggy Treats
"Word of my biscuits (doggy) continued to spread. I received feedback from friends - I loved hearing how the treats were making a positive difference and after some encouragement decided to take a leap of faith. I enlisted the help of some awesome friends and began the pleasure and pain of starting the company (looking back I had no idea how hard it was going to be)!"
Who'd a thunk it? Man shares with his best friend. Dog Marijuana treats have become a big business. If its good for the goose its good for the gander.
The only reason that a loving dog owner would share his marijuana is his belief that old rover will benefit as he does, enjoyment and relief from nasty conditions that afflict both man and beast. Most conditions involve inflammation, pain, metabolic dysfunction, neurological issues or infection.
Cannabinoids, the active ingredients found in marijuana have been found to treat many types of the above listed symptoms and conditions.
"There's so many pet owners that would do just about anything to relieve their animals suffering."
ADVENTURES IN MARIJUANA PUPPY TREATS
A dog owner (Kat) began experimenting with giving puppy supplements and thought, why not give him a bit of my favorite weed. So she baked up a batch of infused biscuits and few the pup. A little bit of biscuit reportedly "took the edge" off puppy. In another case, a black Labrador retriever was slipped a special biscuit and the hyperactive animal calmed right down.
The type of marijuana infused into the doggy treat, in this case, was high in CBD, an ingredient found in certain strains of medical marijuana. CBD is non-psychoactive and does not get users, nor animals (by all accounts) high, however it is known to calm the nervous system. In fact, CBD has become the medicine of choice in many states to treat epilepsy with efficacy in about 80% of cases and remission in nearly half, according to some clinical trial reports.
The problem is that CBD supplements are expensive and the market has yet to fill this consumer choice void. So the pet owner in question tinkered around and found the right combination of ingredients that seemed to work for her pack of Canines. These experiments led to the creation of the CBD-infused biscuit company called Austin + Kat.
"I was trying different nutritional supplements to help keep him active and happy but I kept coming across articles that had a common theme: recent innovation and research in a naturally occurring extract of HEMP called CannaBiDiol (CBD)."
All mammals possess cannabinoid receptors CB1 and CB2 that modulate many cellular and body systems and functions. This is how the cannabinoids in marijuana, including THC, CBD among others, offer relief in many conditions and can alleviate pain, inflammation, neuro-dysfunction and infection in both man and beast. Check out how many conditions that might be treated with doggy treats in the further reading section below.
Other marijuana puppy products are starting to pop up in the ever expanding Ipet supplement market. Sales in the pet supplement sector is pegged at a robust half-billion which and is expected to increase by $150 million over the next four years. Pretty soon, we'll be talking about real money.
CBD is an especially medicinal ingredient, one of only 80 active cannabinoids that may be found in marijuana. By now, there are hundreds of peer reviewed journal articles and clinical studies that attest to the efficacy in many condition that probably apply to canines and most other mammals..
Unlike tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), CBD doesn't get pets and humans high. Before you feed your pet with a treat laced withTHC, we strongly recommend you watch this VID and then rethink..VID - WHEN DOG'S GET HIGH
“If the proper administration of marijuana can truly relieve dog's' pain, then they should be given the same consideration that humans in pain are given, with regular doses to help reduce their misery," Daphna Nachminovitch, VP People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
