Donald Trump placed 2nd in our quest to quantify; who is the most capable Presidential Candidate to lead the cause for Federal Marijuana legalization in 2016?

"I’ve publicly claimed that if Donald Trump does become president, I would effectively move to a different country.   Regardless of my inner struggle with accepting the impending reality of Trump as the 45th POTUS and The Running Man neo-cyberpunk society that will emerge, there’s one existential fact that remains. If you want Marijuana legalized, Donald Trump is your best option this November."

We find it odd too. Of all people, Donald Trump, who says he doesn't even drink or smoke tobacco, has placed second in our survey, barely beaten out by the ultra-socialist, green Bernie Sanders.

Commentary

While we found Mr. Trump's background to be a bit dodgy, but he's the only candidate that has ever succeeded in making things really happen in business.

In the past, Trump has said repeatedly, that the United States should legalize drugs, and use the tax income to educate the public on the dangers of drug use and stomp out dope related crime.

Trump's track record indicates that he has the habit of successfully managing big projects and getting tangible results.  In the case of Marijuana, he came out for full legalization way back in the 1990's Recently, he took a small step step back, saying that personally, he'd only support Medical Marijuana use.  He's spoken out adamantly against the War on Drugs, saying that it is a massive waste of time, resources and money.

So, it stands to reason, if Trump tackles Marijuana Legalization like he tackles a mega Hotel Project, it's probably going to get done and it's probably going to work.

Trump on Marijuana

“What about the state's’ right aspect of it?” If they vote for it, they vote for it. But I think, Medical Marijuana, 100%".

“We’re losing badly the War on Drugs. You have to legalize drugs to win that war. You have to take the profit away from these drug czars.”

"US drug enforcement efforts are a joke, drugs should be legalized to take the profit away from these drug czars."

"Medical Marijuana is another thing, but I think Recreational Marijuana, it's bad. And I feel strongly about that."

"If the States vote for it, they vote for it. But they've got a lot of problems going on right now, in Colorado. Some big problems. But I think Medical Marijuana, 100 percent."

"States should be allowed to legalize Marijuana if they chose to do so."

“In terms of Marijuana and legalization, I think that should be a state issue, state-by-state. Marijuana is such a big thing. I think Medical should happen, right? Don’t we agree?"

Billionaires love to make Billions

Trump is also the only candidate that is essentially self financed and does not draw a paycheck from the traditional enemies of Marijuana.  Big Corp and Big Pharma.  This is probably the biggest pro-Marijuana factor of all to consider of all. That is, if you believe that the one that pays the bills is the BOSS.

Donald's track record is that of a very pragmatic, suave businessman.  The numbers strongly suggest that the various governments can make at least $100 billion yearly in tax dollars and savings on law enforcement, not to mention, equivalent medical health care savings.

At the end of the day, it comes down to, can a leopard change it's spots?

We definitely think it's highly unlikely that a great businessman like Trump would refuse the many billions of dollars, that clearly governments and law enforcement agencies across the country will save or collect from legalized Marijuana.
